​Graduate Level Internships & Placement

iMC Services is honoured to partner with recognized educational institutions and universities to offer counselling therapy training, internship, and placements for students and interns pursuing Graduate level practicum placement and counselling therapy internships. iMC training program, we encourage students and interns to develop their learning goals according to their level of knowledge with our clinical team and take advantage of opportunities to integrate many therapeutic counselling techniques to reach their goals.

6 months to 12 months Term Includes
Program orientation, Overview of agency Policies & Procedures, programs, and services
Review of foundational Integrative counselling therapy practice, bio-psycho-social-spiritual 
 
Placement & Internship Outcomes:
To learn to provide child-youth and family counselling therapy to help children and their family members deal/manage trauma- attachment issues, grief loss, psychological concerns, adjustment issues, and developmental concerns.

General child-youth clinical issues include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and grief.  Students will be scheduled for 10 sessions per week, including clinical/inventory/group sessions. To learn to maintain clinical records, meeting and progress reports, inventory notes, and group work records regarding sessions with children-youth and families that will be coordinated within the sessions file. To participate with the interdisciplinary team and iMC staff to plan a personalized treatment plan and consultation which focus on the different client-centred needs and materials discovered by the client.

Students could also provide a group program and training workshop to co-facilitate support to the community under the entitled supervisor's care. 
Supervision: Students can expect to receive 1.5 hours of weekly one-on-one care with their primary clinical supervisor and informal weekly biweekly guidance and consultation with staff professionals with group supervision.

Students are included in different training experiences with iMC staff regarding Short-Term Family-Centered Programs, A-TIP (Acute-Traumatic Incident Procedures) The CPR of Psychological Trauma, Therapeutic Family System Work, Attachment and Parenting, Anger Management & Coping Skills, Domestic Violence & Intimate Partner Violence, Basic Integrative Mindfulness Practice, and Healthy Living with Anxiety & Stress Management.
