Acute-Traumatic Incident Procedures Training (A-TIP)

A look at what trauma is and its neurological foundations are provided in this workshop. Participants are introduced to the Critical Incident Desensitization Protocol (CIDP) and Acute-Traumatic Incident Procedures (A-TIP) through videos and in-depth discussions.
The course reviews how the CIDP is different from other early interventions. This includes the background of the CIDP and what modern research has learned about this method. A virtual CIDP is presented and a CIDP Pocket Tool is given to workshop attendees.
A background understanding and acknowledgement of how A-TIP works along with the findings of recent research about A-TIP Protocols is offered. There is an A-TIP treatment summary practical exercise and a virtual A-TIP exercise. Participants will leave with an A-TIP Procedures Pocket Tool.
Also incorporated is information on the helpful role Bilateral Stimulation (BLS) BLS and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can have in traumatic situations. Finally, course content includes both CIDP and A-TIP telehealth guidelines with respect to concerns, safety, attunement, and using BLS and Dual Attention Stimuli (DAS).

CID+ATIP Training is Valuable for Nurses and includes front-line medical professionals, Paraprofessionals: Healthcare paraprofessionals, Recreation workers: NAIDAP-workers, Community support workers, Non-mental Health and mental health workers, crisis support workers, teachers, school counsellors, First Responder: Fire Departments, Police Departments, Emergency Medical Services, National Emergency Workers, 911 Dispatchers, law enforcement officers.
